U.S. Submarine 'C-1' First Conducted In 1909 For Long Range & High Speed Operation!

In USA submarine force Coastal and Harbor Defense was one of the earliest missions of the submarine force. At this time submarines could not transit over long distances they were transported by colliers. The U.S. submarine force (Navy) recognized the need to improve submarine design to allow for long range and high-speed operation while submerged.

In 1909 during the winter, the U.S. submarine C-1 conducted the first tests of the predecessor to today’s snorkel masts. Called ventilator tubes, this technological innovation provided surface air to the diesel engines while the submarine was at periscope depth.

From Navy Royal to Royal Navy In 1509 to 1660 Yeare!

In 1509 Henry VIII was crowned aware of the growing naval power of King James IV of Scots. James had built an impressive fleet to control the Western Isles including a giant gun armed ship, the Great Michael. This time was an attack on Henry's Prestige and It also threat since Scotland was allied to France.

While the Royal Navy entered the Second World War with the world's largest fleet. This was the Royal Navy's last big ship versus big ship gunnery duel.
